I saw the line
"Cafe Scientifique at SRI
Tuesday, February 12, 2008 - 6 - 7:30 p.m."
and with the unusual punctuation and spacing around the 6, I wrote the obvious time (7:30 p.m.) into my book. After shopping at Fry's I looked back at the printed announcement and realized that it started at 6:00! So I missed the actual talk. Sorry! I browsed Schneider's work and Web site, but couldn't find his position on nuclear power. He does have some interesting pages on how to be a scientist-advocate who has to deal with the press and its quirks, and also with science and its values.
