Subject: [Exi-bay-announce] Babbage Difference Engine

The second Babbage Difference Engine 2 is on display at the Computer
History Museum here in the Silicon Valley.  The first was built a few
years ago and is on display in London.  The second was just recently
completed and shipped to the CHM.  It will be on display for about a
year and then go into the private collection of the person who
commissioned it to be built.

This Saturday May 10 there will be a special program including a lecture
by Doron Swade.  I heard a special members only lecture by Swade a few
days ago and it was very interesting.  More info at:

I thought I would pass this on.  It is fairly recent and I do not have
enough info to determine how good it will be.

There is a Grey Thumb Silicon Valley group starting up for persons
interested in a wide range of topics from AI to robotics to virtual
