There exist sushi w/no fish.  Avocado rolls, cucumber
rolls (two of my personal favorites), and other
vegetarian entrees, as well as the occasional
non-seafood meat like steak sushi.  (Or shellfish,
like shrimp sushi, if that's far enough from "fish"
for your tastes.)

If we don't have too large a crowd, I can think of
two good sushi locations in Mountain View: Masa's, a
bit north of El Camino x San Antonio, and Arigato (sp?
I think it may have been a play on that, not the term
itself), near 101 x Rengstorff.

How about Seto Sushi in Santa Clara; they also serve various small 
cooked Japamese food.

Owing to some wise objections, not the least of which was James Rogers's 
observation that 2/13 is an alternate Valentine's Day and may hence be 
taken, my current thought is to schedule my welcoming party for Sunday, 
March 6th.  This gives me a decent amount of time to settle down and adjust 
my sleep cycle.  (If anyone wishes to meet me before then, send me private 
email.)  The sushi part was Spike's evil plot, not mine, and I think I'm 
going to overrule on this one.

Amen, brother.  If you are here in California and we are to eat let's eat in
the healthful spirit of California.  I would propose Fresh Choice or similar
place (in fact, there are unhealthy options even in Fresh Choice).

Ja I have been to Masas,ja it is good.

We might want to consider all our options.  Sometime
this spring I want to host a schmooze at my house in
Milpitas, but no firm plans on when that will take
place.  Last year we did it right after the Foresight
schmooze.  I will look around for a place that offers
stuff for us sushi whores, plus other non-fishy viands.
