this?
Suppose Bigland is an old nation state where most citizens are proudly
worshipping the national flag and talking all the time of the national
culture, language, music, philosophy, battles won, etc. Suppose Smalland is
a region of Bigland where at some point the citizens democratically decide
to become independent from Bigland. Assuming that Bigland has vastly
superior military power, does Bigland have any right to force Smalland to
remain a part of Bigland?
