While many of you may not understand this, scientists have
come up with a new and very creative way of isolating
stem cells and further the genes that make the stem cells
stem cells.

The bottom line -- in these mice discussed -- if the cells
keep glowing for a long time they are stem cells.  Further
they can isolate those cells and determine which genes are
turned on to make the stem cells retain stem cell properties.
That in turn should lead to approaches for retrodifferentiation
allowing one to turn non-stem cells back into stem cells.
(One could call this the Holy Grail for turning back the
clock.)
