Buzz Lightyear is not alone. Gregory Benford has just released a 
book-length version of his sequel to Arthur Clarke's *Against the Fall of 
Night* with the title BEYOND INFINITY. Without, I suspect, the exclamation 
points. (And without, alas, any trace of Clarke's elegant, simple voice and 
vision.)
