Hmmm, I don't know Brian.  I would think living in an
SUV would be easier duty than a Saab, and would be
cheaper to fix.  Furthermore the price of a well-used
SUV is lower than Saab, Volvo or BMW in the US.  I can
see 20 yr old SUVs becoming the ride of choice for the
under classes, or rather they already are.  The 
underclasses also enjoy  complete immunity to criticism.
