Moore's law doesn't apply to computer performance. Only integration density.

mentiones vaporware specs, which is even more meaningless than theoretical
peak. It's going to be very hard to achieve anything spectacular with
hardware-agnostic codes.
Of course, they promised a PC with PS2 before.
