Not only the options but also the article itself is disappointing.

Every time the media gives these clowns a plug it makes it harder to 
get a real discussion on the ethics and science of therapeutic cloning
happening. This is not only the case in the general community its also
the case in the parliament. 

If clonaid actually had a clone and did not want to disclose the id of 
the parent, it seems that all they would need to do is send two 
tissues samples (anonymously would be fine). One tissue sample could
be a large adult nail clipping (from the cloned individual), the other the
placenta from the neonate (alleged clone).
