I have often felt some discomfort about people who get handouts from
the government having the vote... it seems sorta like a possible
conflict of interest.

But I have no idea where to draw the line in the sand. Shortly I shall
be on social security (such as it is!) and would that knock me out? If
so, why? Or why not? I paid into it long enough. Should the incumbent
politicos themselves have the vote? Um.... How about all those
bureaucrats who directly benefit from enlarged and ever growing
government expenditures?
