It has been the overtly stated goal for a number of years of James
Hughes, the Changesurfing "sexy democratic transhumanist", that the WTA
be a socialist counterpoint to the ExI, which, while not overtly
libertarian, has tended to be membership-dominated by libertarians and
libertarian-leaning individuals since its inception.
