[extropy-chat] cbs news again

Sometimes I just hafta sit down and laugh.

CBS cuts into Crime Scene Investigators to
report the death of Yasser Arafat. The next
day they *fire* the producer responsible for
the decision to cut into the sacred CSI, with
what sure looks to me like a major breaking
news item. CBS quickly issues an apology, for
interrupting CSI.

Yet Dan Rather still has a job. And Mary
Mapes is still gainfully employed at CBS.
And they *still* haven't explained the notorious
counterfeit documents.

What is the deal with that?

Is this a messed up network or what?
