BTW whatever happened to Gingrich? He was interested
in discussing and more than merely discussing the
future, the Contract With America might have been a
mid- '90s fad, but Gingrich wasn't a faddist, he was
serious. It doesn't matter to me that he was
Republican, Gingrich had much to offer in discussing
the future with Republicans who would otherwise pay
little attention. Yet Gingrich faded from view after a
season or two.
