This sounds pretty much equivalent to the ST. THOMAS AQUINAS ASSOCIATION, 
right? Jacques Maritain was a mid-20th century Catholic Thomist. Here's 
their HQ:

Headquarters: The headquarters of the Association is the Dominican College 
of Philosophy and Theology, 96 Empress Ave., Ottawa, Canada.

That's not a reason not to speak with them, but it could be cause for caution.
