Whatever the merits of the policy, tancredo is more interested in trying to be elected governor or president than in this. He plays on base emotions; there is a name for this sort of politician: demagogue.
 Again, it's not the policy, it comes from having heard him speak many times here-- Tancredo is an abyss of ambition, he hears 'Hail To The Chief' playing in his mind.
