I probably wouldn't read a sci fi novel in eform, I still prefer to read
paper, perhaps because the PC I use still sits on top of a desk and
has wires coming out of it all over the place, but if I did, I'd be happy
to pay a couple of bucks for it.

I don't even know what the state of the art in easy e-reading is at
present.
