It is pointless - but you are still the one mistaken and therefore the one
at fault or the one that must change so this will no longer be pointless.

I bet you experiencing a color quale you have never experienced before would
make you say something like: "Boy -what I was saying about software alone
being able to do this was very stupid of me.  That software program might
claim to know what this new color is like - but it is obviously lying."
Don't you think?  Are you saying something like this will never happen?
