Actually, further comment is almost always necessary. In order to
correct misconceptions, one of the worst strategies is to ignore them,
especially when one believes the people holding them are ignorant (no
offense, Bill, but you are making sweeping generalizations). Instead,
imagine this as a case of someone who believes in Aristotelean physics
or that the Earth is flat -- and someone you want to help, if not come
to the correct view, at least move away from the wrong view.
