Sadly, no. The truth is that people are still being caught by the
Nigerian scam. No matter how well a scam is exposed, somebody
somewhere is still going to fall for it.
The other sinister use of the Nigerian scam is to test spam programs to
verify address lists and determine which texts get through spam filters
and which don't.
