*rolls eyes* Not this tired luddite cliche again.

Spoilers, technically - or view this as a warning for anyone thinking
of watching it. The punchline is that "indefinite life and infinite
knowledge = boring", so people start committing suicide the day after.
The counter, of course, is the truly deep and complex mysteries of the
universe (and of humanity), which even an immediately-post-Singularity
intelligence would need quite some time to unravel (and which many
people simply can't understand the joys of unravelling, having never
applied themselves to solving the vast range of immediately relevant
problems that even pre-Singularity intelligences are capable of
cracking - many due to the errant belief that the problems are simply
beyond their ability to ever do anything about, and thus do not merit
the personal investigation which might disprove that belief).
