A friend of mine teaching in Istanbul sent me pictures of her homeland and
I was amazed at the undeniable beauty and, if beauty isn't enough - the
cleanliness of the city.  She said at tech/design conferences is often
treated like a person from a developing (third world) culture because for
the most part people are unaware of the lifestyle there.
