As a lurker on this list since the early 90's and a self teaching work in 
progress, I can only say that the hints of, go read this, look into that and 
most importantly, where are your references, have all changed my life for 
the better. Just reading the discussion back and forth between the more 
logical members has been worth wading through the recent list troubles.

If the list becomes something different please consider a read only option.
