What does the mother think, and what was done to the father are important
aspects of this decision also. If (non)circumcision is not for religious
reasons then it probably is simply "fashion" - what is prevalent at the
time in any particular community.

Cleaning is often cited as a reason for circumcision, but IMHO if you can
clean your ears then you can clean your penis.
