Thanks. One of my first thoughts actually was to write to you 
off-list, but (a) under the circumstances, I wasn't sure it would get 
to you,  (b) I figured other people might have pertinent 
observations, and (c) the subject is one that many of us have to grapple with.

And, as Brian alluded to, this is a topic where, even among
