Of course EP/sociobiology has always been pilloried as a 
contrived/one-sided/bogus ideological mask for social darwinist 
special interests, although a few on left such as Peter Singer (and 
perhaps the ideologues of Tony Blair's "Third Way") belatedly saw the 
sense of the thing.
