Not sure that the term "GP" (general practitioner) is known
everywhere in the States (although it is here in central TX). Perhaps
"family physician" or the like? The one I go to has an off-sider I
often see, who charges less and isn't a medico but a "nurse
practitioner" or some such. He can write at least some scripts.
