Thanks Amara!  It would be even cooler if the object made a grazing miss
where it tore thru the tenuous Martian atmosphere, losing enough velocity so
that it went into a highly elliptical decaying orbit.  Then we could watch a
number of burning perigee passes before the object hit at an oblique angle.
