I didn't like it as much as I was told I would.  I think
that I would have liked it better had I read some spoilers
first, though; the last 20 minutes seem to be set in a
different universe than the first part of the movie. :)

As for the movie supporting your view of copies, I don't
think it did.  The makers clearly wanted us to see the
the copykiller as a bad person -- horror was even his
*own* reaction to what he'd been doing.
