As I alrady said, this is incorrect. I've unsubscribed Slawomir from
wta-talk, but I did not ban him (banning means being prevented from
resubscription). He was never banned neither unsubscribed (in fact,
he resubscribed yesterday) from extropy-chat.

The problem with public notices is that this defies the purpose
of improving the signal/noise ratio.

I can do that in META: messages in future, assuming this doesn't
result in a chain of recriminations flying back and forth.
