At the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) 25th Anniversary
exhibit in 1996, in San Jose, California, one university project was
demonstrating the overlaying of computed information. Their demo
goggles detected where they were pointed and generated the appropriate
overlay. The demo situation was large pieces for a space structure, and
the overlay was things like arrows that showed which way to turn the
screw threaded parts, and in which order. Cool!
