Oh ja, what I meant by all that was that an M-Brain would be visible to an
outside observer.  It might look like an enormous cloud of spinning cold
gas, defying explanation of it's anomalously spherical shape.  Outside
observers would expect it to be more flattened.  It would be impossible for
an M-Brain to disguise themself* in the background radiation.  As far as I
can calculate, it would be impossible to emit it's energy at any temperature
colder than 80, assuming the enormous Brain cannot figure out a way to
defeat the first and third laws.

*It is difficult to make my spell checker leave unmodified the the above
clever sentence.  I intended to say "...M-Brain to disguise themself..."  Is
there a sic function in Microsloth Lookout which forces the spell checker to
leave a particular word as typed?
