That is one explanation but I thought of another.  If Google posted Burma
news in a language accessible to the Burmese, it would be contributing to
destabilizing the government in that country.  When I try to interpret the
things that Google does with it's news section, I must keep in mind that
Google is a business, but is not specifically in the news business.  It is
bad business to creating ire in any potential customers.  All actions by any
real company keeps an eye on the bottom line.
