Do you think?
I reckon it's more likely: "small pockets of humans may survive in 
isolated regions and after a dark ages lasting only a few centuries, 
will die out altogether".

Or, you never know, the greens may get their way, and we'd have a 
miserable low-tech existence for quite a long time, until some natural 
disaster comes along to wipe us out for good.

I really doubt that we'd get another crack at the singularity though. 
You need easily available resources to kick-start a high-tech 
civilisation, no matter how much knowledge you have, and we've used them 
all up.
