The following monographs suggest that the reduction of transfats in fast 
food and grocery store products may soon have a very positive role in 
reducing heart disease.

It is probably true in the past that people who were obese consumed a lot 
more transfat than other in the population which probably increased their 
risk factor of being overweight even more.
