An interesting article.  

Based on what I observe day to day there are at least two other groups in society at large.

One group is made up of people who are curious and looking at various arguments but are not committed to one of the four groups that Brand lists.  

The other group is comprised of those who (even though access to information is readily available) are not interested in the topic either because of information overload, disgust at they see as boorish behavior and rhetoric from some of the Denialists and some of the Calamatists (and perhaps some Skeptics and Warners) or simply that they have things to worry about which they think are more important or complacency or other reasons.
