Only if you don't hit something much more bigger than you, like an 
island or an iceberg.

If California is not bailed out by the Federal Government (that could 
have its own problems) and is unable to pay wages and retirements all 
the political resistance of the world will not be able to fix anything.

Do you raise taxes? People go in another state so the taxes are lower.
Do Washington pay California with the printing presses? Inflation will 
destroy the value of the money the workers are paid with.

There is a breaking point, there is a straw that broke the back of the 
camel. Before, all appear "as usual". After it is not more the same, 
whatever people wishful think.
