I can imagine a deleted scene from the New Testament. Jesus the 
carpenter (and a damn good carpenter, too, naturally) has hauled the 
cross-piece (as it were) of his cross up the Via Dolorosa to the top 
of Golgotha and stands in a pool of his own blood watching several 
incompetent Roman slaves trying to nail the thing onto the upright 
post. The nails keep bending and falling out; they whack their thumbs 
and curse blasphemously. Finally, irritated beyond endurance, Christ 
says, "Oh, for heaven's sake! Here, give me the hammer--"
