Catholicism and Christianity are not monoliths.
They have a rich internal life and they host a large number of different 
opinions.
This is because the Catholic Church is so slow to change, it is a 
feature, not a bug.
The goals of trashumanism and of extropy are not at odds with 
Christianity and some other religions (apart the unnominable one).
There could be a discussion and a disagreement about the ways to obtain 
the goals, not a disagreement with the goals themselves.
