Endogamy prevents or slows that. Ashkenazi Jews, Japanese, QED. I wonder 
if Flynn-effect changes might have contributions from the decline of 
strict religious/cultural endogamy restrictions, which might have more 
to do with reckless lustful males than "exchanged" females.
