Google Wave is in limited preview status at present with only about
100,000 users and plenty of bugs being stomped on.

You can register for an invite, like when Gmail started up, but I
would give it time to settle down a bit before leaping aboard.
(Unless you enjoy testing out new software, that is).  ;)
