I agree.  But for the purposes of speculation on how very old entities
might behave that is a meaningless proposal.

In effect you are saying that an ancient intelligence will have the
ability to change their brain to think in an infinity of different
ways. Which is probably quite likely, and presumably they will choose
to think in the 'best' way possible.  I suspect that this will not be
like a 25 year old human.
