[ExI] Semiotics and Computability

Thanks Spike,
Nothing terribly interesting to tell. I'm a software developer, science and space enthusiast, and armchair philosopher (I opted not to go pro after suffering through a semester-long graduate-level course on utilitarianism). I don't often identify myself as a member of any particular group that isn't defined by biology, but broadly I have strong transhumanist leanings. I'm kinda non-committal there as I'm really just now getting deep into the subject, and I don't think I have a good enough definition of "transhumanist" to know if I fit the bill.
I'm also *very* interested in finding groups of very smart people who are working on the kinds of problems and projects that really excite me, and hanging on like a stubborn barnacle, leeching one small unit of knowledge at a time while hoping not to excessively irritate my hosts.
Lastly, I'm deeply interested in the future and would quite like to continue to be a part of it :)
- Chris
