Yes, but the increased volatility is caused by an overall increase in 
trapped heat. So "global climate change" is a handy term to block idiots 
from waving "IT CAN'T BE GETTING HOTTER--THERE WAS SNOW HERE THIS WEEK!" 
mid-winter signs. But it's still warming on a global scale.
