[ExI] Question from a neophyte

Although not specifically a "Transhumanist Book" I want to mention a book which influenced many in the early Extropian and Transhumanist crowd.

Title: The Retreat to Commitment
Author: W. W. Bartley
Publisher: Open Court

This is a very insightful book and I enjoyed it however it is not an "easy read".  So for someone whois really interested in philosophy I recommend the book.  For both those who read the book as well as everyone else I recommend the excellent piece by Max which covers Bartley's idea of pancritical rationalism:

It just struck me that Max delivered this paper at Extro 1 in 1994; more than a decade and a half ago.
