"Because her assertion that people won't stay there because a game is just a
game, it's about the technology and not a particular implementation."
In systems, the variables change. Even a reinforcing loop changes. No
system can remain in a state of stasis without dying out. Certainly that
dying out brings about new relationships of matter, but that too is a
changing system. As I understood Anna, a "game" was not so literal as you
interpret. It was my impression that the "game" was more metaphorical
and/or pertaining to behavior of environments. Technology is continually
evolving, and so that game would evolve as well.
"And because your assertion that we don't know how we'll get there is also
not accurate."
It very well may be that you know exactly how we will get there and if you
do, please tell AGI folks because they will be glad to have the recipe.

"I did, on both points. Apparently you missed a couple of mine."
Okay, I understand now and see what you were referring to, but I do not
agree that I missed it both times. Perhaps it might be helpful to point
precisely to what you are responding to. As someone who can be terribly
cryptic in postings, I am equally aware of others who do the same. You can
disagree with this if you like.

inter-personal interactions. Here's a couple more links to ponder over..."

James, do you actually think that list members know nothing about behavioral
psychology or lack any reading knowledge of neuroscience and consciousness?
Regarding this list, why not create a your own new thread on a topic that
you would like to discuss and engage list members in the discussion?
