In a piece on the BBC website today -

They mention that aiding plankton growth also aids the growth of dinoflagellates and their toxin production. So, this technique for CO2 sequestration may cause toxic algal blooms. Still, this shows the need for caution in geoengineering schemes and the need for good quality science.
