Counterproductive.  The player, upon discovering this is
anything other than what was promised, stops playing the
"broken" version and reverts to searching for the real one.
Such an attempt can reinforce the desire to prove that
outside forces - like whoever tried to propagate the
counterpart game - have no ability to control the player's
behavior, leading in some cases to actions that ignore the
desire to not harm anyone.

In other words, something like that could cause someone to
rape, who otherwise wouldn't.
