I subscribed to this list only a few months before Sasha's death. I
never met him, and never exchanged emails with him. From his writings,
and from the strong impression he made on so many people on this list,
I see he must have been a true intellectual giant.
Here's to Sasha, and let's hope his beloved Science will manage to
bring him back in some meaningful sense some day.
