[ExI] A side note on Inuit/Eskimo (was War ---- It's a meme!)

So is Inuit -- if you happen to be Yupik (the other major far northern 
tribal group commonly lumped under 'Eskimo').

Unfortunately, there is no agreed-upon replacement.


(An aside: my last three posts to this list have never posted, nor have 
they been rejected by a moderator.  If anyone can tell me what's going 
on, I'd appreciate it, because it's frustrating to write out a long, 
thoughtful reply and never see it.)
