This is indeed a very sensible request.  I am a bit annoyed by the number of times I have attempted to
refer to various papers in talks with SIAI people only to be told that that paper or statement is "now
obsolete" without being offered any up-to-date versions.    I have heard that the CEV is either "out-of-date" or still the main idea/goal so many times that I don't know what to believe about it except that the SIAI hasn't kept its own position documents  and working theories up to date.
